Description
People with differing sexual orientations and gender identities have always worked among us. Until relatively recently, our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered colleagues may have hidden their private lives from management and co-workers fearing possible repercussions. With increasing social acceptance and legal protections, many of our LBGT colleagues are no longer hiding their true selves in the workplace. Changes in the law now allow gay and lesbian couples to form families, creating new issues that employers and supervisors must understand. This session will help you become aware of the terminology and issues of managing in a diverse workplace that includes members of the LGBT community.
This event may be a rebroadcast of a live event and the instructor will be available to answer your questions either during or after the event.
